Fiona publishes her first paper in Bone!

Congratulations to Fiona, who has published her first first-author paper in the journal Bone, with the title “Altered vertebral biomechanical properties in prostate cancer patients following androgen deprivation therapy”.

This paper is the first to use computational modelling to investigate the effects of prostate cancer on the biomechanics of the spine. Using a gold-standard dataset from the ANTELOPE clinical trial, Fiona worked with colleagues in the University of Sheffield to show the effects that androgen deprivation therapy, a common prostate cancer treatment, can have on bone strength.
